Rolex endeavours to celebrate the spirit of humanity and the fusion of an era gone by with the constantly changing times of the present. In view of this belief Rolex brings forth festivals like the Limerock, Monterey Historic and the famed Goodwood Revival. The most conspicuous elements of these festivals are the varied historic cars that are featured in the numerous events here. This is a celebration of a golden era that saw some of the most revolutionary work both in terms of design as well as well as features. The creators of these wonderfully magnificent cars left thought and vision unhindered and with new found unfettered approach built some of the most extraordinary masterpieces. The Rolex Goodwood Revival Festival is held at the Goodwood Circuit in the United Kingdom. In the years the Goodwood Circuit was active it was as popular as the as the Silverstone circuit and was considered to be Britain’s leading racing track. During its heyday the Goodwood Circuit hosted a number of racing events like the contemporary races of Formula One, the celebrated Goodwood Nine Hours race as well as the Tourist Trophy sports car race.

Goodwood Revival RallyThe 2009 version of the Goodwood Revival Festival presented by Rolex is a step back into time when racing was more than just about bagging international deals. This festival brings together a genius, an artist and a visionary that through a combined aspiration of creating something unique changed the world. The Rolex Goodwood Revival Festival features Grand Prix cars for the 50-60’s period, historic saloon cars, GT cars, sports cars and the very rarely seen Formula Juniors that would have otherwise been lost to decadence of a few or the ignorance of many. The competitors and the spectators are dressed for the occasion sporting clothes that were popular during that era.

The Goodwood Revival Festival for 2009 is to be held over a period of three days from the 18th to the 20th of September. This year however some developments have been made for a more comfortable functioning of the event like a more flexible entrance to grandstand seating with greater room and view, in addition to enhanced on-site camping facilities.

With the coming of a new dawn many people involved in a flurry of activities forget or choose to forget the light that gave as a new dawn. Rolex brings forth this beacon and celebrates this icon that led us to transform our society and our lives.
