Natalia Tena And The Rolex Lady Datejust Believe In The Unconventionality Of Things

Natalia Tena

Rolex watches have all had an engagement with the past and present of things and believes that works best at all times and in all affairs is the fact that anything that stays for long in the human memory is almost always devoid of any traditional and tried and tested systems holding it back. What always works for one watch in terms of the design and more importantly the mechanism that sustains may not work for another. The need is always for the watch maker to look away from the conventional methods of making watches and adopt a way that may not have been very tried and tested for success but in more ways than one always makes it a point to follow a pattern of success that is felt instinctively. Rolex watches come across as extremely efficient systems of time, they greatly understand and feel the urgency of not always complying with that which has been traditionally experienced.

The unconventional drives the Rolex watch making experience to a different level of expertise altogether. Something like this has long been tried by other luxury watch making brands but the success that today Rolex can call its own, no other watch brand can even begin to dream about. The Rolex Lady Datejust as a watch is extremely   streamlined and in ways that make it unconventional in every way possible. Natalia Tena as an actress who also plays the accordion in the band Molotov Jukebox has in the way she presents herself to the world and the way she explores her talents for different things in life lives what unconventionality preaches.

Rolex Lady Datejust

Natalia Tena who started her acting life with About a Boy, went on to play the leading roles in theatrical productions of Gone To Earth and Nights at the Circus. She also famously played the character of Nymphadora Tonks in the film version of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix reprising her role in the sequel. Other films the actress has to her credit are Mrs Henderson Presents, The Fine Art of Love, Lecture 21, and is currently awaiting the release of Womb.

The Rolex Lady Datejust belies the 31mm of its size and the certified chronometer has a diamond and platinum finish that not many watches can call their own. The bracelet of the watch is a President that is very nicely set with brilliants, the self wound movement of the watch adding to the effect that the watch creates with its look and internal mechanism. The pink mother-of-pearl finish of the dial of the watch strikes another elegant chord for the watch something that it multiplies with the brilliants that dazzle around the bezel of the watch. The Rolex Lady Datejust is water proof to 100 meters and extremely streamlined in the sapphire that crystallizes the watch.   The Rolex Lady Datejust is also made available to watch wearers in other combinations that include a steel and gold combination, a white and an Eve rose gold combination that is the current rage amongst watch wearers. The Rolex Lady Datejust like Natalia Tena really believes in the unconventionality of things.

Sean Maguire And Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Personify Suaveness

Sean Maguire

Some people very inherently are blessed with the ability to define the way the world will look at them, judge them and make good or bad out of the person. This is an ability that is inseparable from some people, the way they address their lives and the way they deal with other people. Very seldom do people who have made a name for themselves in the world for the life that they have led and the achievements that they call their own not credit their upbringing, their personality and their zest for a life well lived. The suaveness that becomes essential and almost introductory to a person’s nature is what holds him through life, making him go through situations that he would like to get the best deal out of. The Rolex makes watches that understand this human trait in a manner that almost becomes unnatural.

The way a Rolex watch crafts itself around the workings of time, adapting itself to situations when it can make the vagaries of time work in its benefit. A Rolex watch once owned, is an ownership and more than that a belonging of a lifetime. The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona more than lives this truth in the way it finds itself as a part of the wearer’s life once it is invested in. The watch is suaveness in character, in grace and in performance like Sean Maguire. An actor who also dabbled in singing, releasing a couple of albums and making a success out of both his acting and his vocal career, Sean Maguire surely knows that a lot of credit for his success goes to the suaveness of his character.

Starring in A Voyage Round My Father at the age of five, the actor grew up to join the cast of the soap opera East Enders. He next played a starring role in Dangerfield. His other roles were in films Holby City, Sunburn, L.A Blues, The Dukes, Out Of Depth, and Meet the Spartans. The actor also ventured into music, releasing a self titled album in ’94 and two others in ’96 and ’98 called Spirit and the Greatest Hits. The actor draws from the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in the way that he has always allowed himself to be inspired by whatever life has had to offer.

Rolex Cosmograph DaytonaThe Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is a watch that becomes more than a timekeeper in the way executes the design that has becomes a part of it and the performance that is expected of the watch and what it delivers. This is a certified chronometer that carries a size of 40 mm with extreme ease. The eve rose gold finish of the watch adds notches of classiness to the watch that otherwise would have held a not so delectable fondness when it came to Rolex wearers and the choices they have. The self wound movement of the watch makes it a very easy to handle watch and the fact that the watch is crystallized in sapphire is why the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is clearly a cut above the rest.

The pink dial when doubled with the minute and hour totalisators of the watch just makes the watch worth every penny that is spent on it. The bezel of the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is engraved and calibrated especially to read immediate tick off of speeds and when couple with the fact that the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is waterproof to 100 meters the watch like Sean Maguire surely personifies suaveness.

Rolex Grand Slam Hopeful Oliver Townend Increases His Chances At Winning Next Year

Rolex Grand Slam

Oliver Townend may not have asked for his shift from the top to the eighth place at the Les Etoiles de Pau event, however the rider more than made up for the loss with his victory at the Classics Jackpot leaving the tournament with a mammoth cash prize of £92,000. His disappointment in the entire event caused by a series of 31 faults that included seven fences down shifted the trajectory of the event from the team of Oliver Townend  and his partner the Burghley event winner Carousel Quest winning the highlighting race to a stand seven positions down yet the duo have managed to reclaim their chances at competing and winning next year’s Rolex Grand Slam with the Classics Jackpot win.

Oliver Townend now has a whopping £300,000 as prize money with him accumulating all the victories that he has scored over the last 12 months. Spectators and experts had come together to question the worth of running his horse within a gap of a mere seven weeks at two four star competitions, claiming that as a reason why the rider couldn’t snatch the success for himself at the event, however like in most cases, this time too the rider always knows better. No one has a better understanding of the situation and the chances at competition for his ride and himself than the participator himself and Oliver Townend and Carousel Quest proved this.

Oliver Townend VictoryOliver Townend has a history of glorious victories vouching for his better chances at the forthcoming events, having won both the Badminton and Burghley events and his performance has ensured that the rider will be only the second best in competition at the upcoming Rolex Grand Slam. The rider feels that with the amount of rest that his horses will have due to the winter break it won’t be long before they return to their top condition and well in time for the spring event. The Classics Jackpot is a series where some of the world’s top riders compete in an effort to collect points for their performances at Lexington, Badminton, Luhmuhlen, Burghley and Pau and winning here is a sure shot target at increasing one’s chances of winning at the Rolex Grand Slam.

The Rolex Grand Slam held in the spring of 2010, precisely April next year has to offer the winner £ 213,000 in cash prize alone. However, it is not so much the money as much as it is about winning the event that makes the competition all the more tough. The rider has to bring with him an impressive charting of participation and victories at the Badminton, Burghley and Lexington four star events. Previously only Britain’s Pippa Funnell had won the event and this makes it all the more reason why Oliver Townend’s victory at the event will be desired.

Oliver Townend has the Carousel Quest owner Andrew Cawthray gushing about his horse and its rider’s stupendous feat at the event. The Rolex Grand Slam is a prestigious achievement for riders worldwide and it is only a matter of a few months wait before we can know for sure if Oliver Townend is going to win the event or not.

The Rolex Middle Sea Race Heading For Final Showdown

Rolex Middle Sea RaceAs the 30th Rolex Middle Sea Race enters its last stages the way the whole regatta has turned out to be has further reinforced the philosophy that Rolex tries to propagate through its efforts in the field of adventurous sports like sailing. A very popular and well appreciated sport among the UK populace, sailing has entered newer dimensions due to the initiatives and events promoted by Rolex. To take its vision of promoting brilliance to higher levels was one of the ideas behind Rolex getting involved with the traditional middle sea race and the Rolex Middle Sea Race has proved to be the same edition after edition. The testing conditions which have been engulfing the entire regatta have really put the skills and abilities of sailors and crews to test and the performance of each of the 69 teams has once again brought forth the Rolex legacy to the forefront. With the Maltese contingent being one of the biggest, strongest and most popular among the fans a lot was expected from them and it goes to their credit that they have in fact managed to live up to all the expectations.

The Rolex Middle Sea Race was held over a 606 nautical mile course and demanded nothing less than the best efforts from everyone. It was a great and prestigious occasion for the Maltese yachts to come out and showcase the depth of talent and extensive experience that they possess. Going by the strong field that has turned out for the Rolex Middle Sea Race it was more or less expected that it would be very difficult for the Maltese yachts to grab the top honours or make a real threat to the chances of bigger and better boats winning the trophy but what was desired was best possible efforts and memorable performances and that is precisely what each and every one of them ensured.

Rolex Middle Sea RaceThe 30th Rolex Middle Sea Race witnessed more than two dozen Maltese yachts competing in the prestigious regatta. One of the well recognised yachts Strait Dealer and its captain David Anastasi had a memorable time sailing in the Rolex Middle Sea Race. Working together as a close knit team the crew was able to come out satisfied in the end and was among the first ones from the Maltese contingent to finish the race. They were followed by Comanche Raider II Gasan Mamo which faced many difficulties in finishing the race but lived the Rolex spirit to the full. While facing troublesome weather and unexpected turn of events the captain and the crew kept its calm and made sure that it can come out unscathed and emerge as an inspiration for others to follow. Arthur Podesta’s Elusive II Medbank followed the Comanche Raider II Gasan Mamo to the finish line.

As a matter of fact every yacht from Malta as well from other countries in the world which raced in the 30th Rolex Middle Sea Race was able to showcase the fact that when it comes to Rolex sponsored events the enthusiasm for competing and prestige involved in winning has different importance altogether for everyone.

Ricky Gervais And Rolex Datejust: An Interesting Approach To Life

Ricky Gervais

There are things in life that can pick up one’s mood almost instantly. A Rolex and laughter happen to be two such things. When in need of an instant mood lift a Rolex can come in very handy as it is a symbol of all that a man works towards achieving in life. So with a Rolex clasped on and a good dose of comedy one can surely laugh life’s worries away. Laughing at the very cause of worries has proven to be the best way to deal with stress and move on in life. The much celebrated comedy The Office is one such series that can lift anyone up by comically putting across the very events that stress out individuals on the work front. Ricky Gervais as David Brent is very convincing as the boss who means well by portraying himself as a role model, however in reality comes off pompous and snide. However, having a Rolex on can never come off pompous, especially not the Rolex Datejust.

Ricky Gervais is a comedian and actor. His excellent comic timing and out-of-the-box thinking made him co-write and co-direct as well as act in the hit television series The Office. The Office is very different in its approach as it is a sort of fictional documentary following the lives of people working in a paper company that has come to be known as a mockumentary. Ricky Gervais has been very active and has a podcast to his credit along with movies, stand-up comedy tours and a book series. Flanimals is a best-selling book series he has written that features 35 species of animals in an imaginary world. He has Rolex Datejusta podcast that is a comedy audio show called The Ricky Gervais Show. The Office got him mainstream fame and was followed by the sitcom Extras that revolves around the life of extras on film sets and in theatre. Ricky Gervais has won accolades for his work over the years. He has seven BAFTA Awards, four British Comedy Awards, three Golden Globes, two Emmys and the 2006 Rose d’Or, as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination.

The Rolex Datejust in steel and yellow gold is much celebrated as well because it comes with a strong history. The Rolex Datejust created history when it was introduced in 1945 as the first wristwatch that featured a date display. To make it easier on the eyes there is a Cyclops lens that magnifies the date for easier reading. The dial is a mesmerizing black set with diamonds that gives it a unique and classic look. The 904L steel alloy and gold used to create the watch is produced in Rolex’s own unique foundry that guarantees absolute purity. The bracelet comes with an innovation called an Easylink that helps adjust it to 5mm in order to incorporate a sudden increase in wrist size due to an increase in altitude or temperature or due to physical activity. Out-of-the-box is something well appreciated at Rolex and also something that has brought Ricky Gervais to achieve so much.

Derek Johnston Wins Rolex 24 At Daytona Driver Challenge

Derek Johnston

Derek Johnston was at a loss of words when he heard the news that he had won the Rolex 24 At Daytona Driver Challenge while in France. Although he had a conservative 5th place finish in Saturday’s race at Dijon, but overjoyed by the news from Silverstone, he and Stuart Moseley went on to winning the second race outright and securing the Radical European Masters title in the best way possible on Sunday. The weekend proved to be extremely successful and marvellous for this man from Nottingham, as he still was struggling to come to terms with the magnitude of his success. Unbelievable was one words he used repeatedly to describe his success. In one weekend he had become the undisputed King of the Radicals in both the UK and Europe and managed to win the biggest prize in British motorsport.

The prize that Derek Johnston has won is a race-drive in a Daytona Prototype at the 2010 Rolex 24 At Daytona in a top team and not to mention that gives him the chance to race against the best sports car racers in the world. Displaying such great talent on the track has definitely made him worthy of being a participant at the 2010 Rolex 24 At Daytona. Rolex associates with sporting events in order to bring forth such talents to the world. Each racer at the Rolex sponsored races displays great sportsmanship and brilliance in their respective kinds of sport.

Rolex has always created benchmarks in the world of watches. Now, Derek Johnstonby rewarding such individuals and by giving them the chance to compete in world-class events, it tries to bring out untapped potential within them and witness performances that even they did not think they were capable of. Derek Johnston will also participate in a 3-day pre-season test session at the Daytona race track in January and hence become the ambassador for Grand-Am and Sunoco in Europe. This amazing prize, valued as being worth $100,000, gives Derek Johnston a great chance not only to race in a top team in one of the iconic 24-hour races in the world but also to win the race.

The Rolex 24 At Daytona Driver Challenge presented by Sunoco was a driver challenge between Sunoco-fuelled series in Europe and UK. The drivers in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship, the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series, the SPEED sports prototype series and the Radical UK Cup have competed neck-to-neck against each other collecting points for pole position, race results and fastest lap throughout the year of 2009. Derek Johnston became the outright winner of the Rolex 24 At Daytona Driver Challenge presented by Sunoco on October 10 when Rob Garofall’s high-spirited bid to overtake him in the average points table failed at Silverstone where the SPEED Series held its final 3-hour race for the season. And although it’s taking time for the success to settle in for the Nottingham man he sure has won himself accolades and his fans definitely will be looking forward to a similar display of talent on the tracks in 2010.
